Dear EOSD Families and Caregivers,
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) wants to hear from our families, students, educators and community members as part of a statewide effort to gather feedback on school funding.
Share Your Voice: Take five minutes to complete the New Jersey School Funding Survey.
Our school community is strongest when families have a voice in decisions that affect students.
Your input will help inform discussions and recommendations about how school funding can best support student success across New Jersey.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey and share your perspective. Your feedback is valuable and is the strongest way to ensure that the experiences and priorities of our community are represented.
Take the Survey
Please complete this survey by November 30, 2026.
Thank you for taking the time to participate and for your continued support of our students and schools.

Today, Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day. Don’t forget to vote and make your voice heard!
Please note that all schools and district offices are OPEN and operating on their regular schedules.

Garvin Elementary is putting our Save The Music grant to work by expanding students’ exposure to music instruction and providing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences!
Our music teacher, Ms. Thompson, coordinated a special day of collaboration with Tyson Middle/ High School, welcoming middle and high school students, along with their music teachers, Ms. Cartier and Ms. Rice. The visiting students showcased their musical talents, shared their instruments, and gave our Garvin students a glimpse of the exciting musical opportunities they can look forward to as they continue developing their skills.
A special thank-you to Mr. Leonardo for coordinating transportation and helping make this collaboration possible, as well as Instructional Coach Ms. Saul and our Garvin teachers for their support.
We were also pleased to welcome Anne Joseph, Eastern Regional Program Director for the Save The Music Foundation, who visited to see the grant in action!
A special shout-out to Ms. Thompson for her initiative, creativity, and hard work in bringing everyone together and creating such a memorable experience for our students.
Through partnerships like these, we continue to inspire creativity, encourage musical exploration, and provide opportunities for our students to learn and grow.

As a district, we know that strong schools begin with strong leadership. Our principals are at the heart of their school communities, supporting our educators, welcoming and partnering with families, and creating environments where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Their impact can be seen in the classrooms they support, the relationships they build, the educators they encourage, and most importantly, in the lives of the students they serve.
To our 21 principals: thank you for leading with purpose, compassion, and dedication. Thank you for believing in our students, standing behind our educators, and strengthening our schools and communities.
We are proud to celebrate you.
